Out of those tests, there were 34,842 cases reported.
Hospitalizations
Almost 1 out of 3 cases were turned into a hospitalization, with a cumulative number of 10,021 people entering a hospital. Almost 13% of hospital patients have died.
Intensive Care
27% of hospital patients needed to be entered into the Intensive Care (IC) – the cumulative number of IC patients is 2,680 while 1 out of 4 patients who entered the IC have died (23%).
Recoveries
54% of hospital patients (5,454 people) have recovered and therefore dismissed from the hospital, while 17% of IC patients (460 people) were dismissed from the Intensive Care and also from the hospital.
Deaths
As of April 22, 2020, there were in total 4,054 reported deaths in The Netherlands (CFR: 12%).
Almost 31% of those deaths occurred in the hospital (not in the IC) – 1,267 in total – while 15% of those deaths occurred in the Intensive Care – 619 in total.
In other words, more than 1 in 2 deaths (54%) happened outside of the hospital.
